The term "home entertainment center" usually refers to a fairly large piece of furniture that is used to hold various home electronics, such as televisions, DVD players, CD players and speakers. The size and shape of home entertainment centers change as technology advances, and indeed the term "home theater system" has become popular as higher-end components become more and more affordable.
