Info
Hollywoodland chronicles the mysterious events of George Reeves's death in 1959. Reeves, who played Superman in the popular The Adventures of Superman TV show, was found dead in his bedroom of a single gunshot wound to the head.Though ruled a suicide, Reeves's mother hires private detective Louis Simo (Adrien Brody) to investigate. In the end, the film presents three possible scenarios for what happened to Reeves, but does not necessarily take a stance on one over the other.
The film was released to mixed reviews, with some criticizing its "clumsy" structure and "languid" pace, while others praised its "engaging" storyline. It currently has a 69% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
