Hollywood Records is a record label founded in 1989. It is wholly owned by The Walt Disney Company under the operational control of its Disney Music Group division. Hollywood Records is used to promote hip-hop, pop, rock and motion picture soundtracks.

A large portion of their artist representation is composed of artists geared towards the youth demographic and featured in other Disney enterprises, such as the Disney Channel. Hollywood Records has had a large amount of success utilizing the social media sharing medium provided by YouTube. Hollywood Records launched their own YouTube channel on April 10, 2006. Since then, they have become the fourth most viewed channel on YouTube, with a total of 6,394,492 channel views and 966,889,934 individual video views. They also rank tenth on YouTube for subscribers to their channel under the musician category.

Hollywood Records uses their YouTube channel to provide an added venue of promotion for their signed artists. Official music videos are uploaded to the channel for free viewing by fans and subscribers. Two of the top ten most viewed videos on YouTube originate from the Hollywood Records channel. These videos are Miley Cyrus' Seven Things and Party in the USA videos, which combined have a total exceeding 222 million views.

Prior to launching their own YouTube channel, Hollywood Records had already successfully experiment into the use of social media for the purpose of promoting signed talent.
