Holly Washa

Holly Washa was a 21-year-old woman that was raped, tortured and murdered in Seattle, Washington, in May of 1991 by convicted felon Cal Coburn Brown. Brown, who had been released from an Oregon prison on March 25, 1991, abducted Washa at knife point as she was leaving a hotel parking lot near the airport. On September 10, 2010, Brown was executed for Washa's murder. The 52-year-old Brown was given a lethal injection at the Washington State Penitentiary. Washa's family was on hand to witness the execution, Washington's first since 2001. Reports say Brown did not offer an apology to Washa's family before he was put to death. Holly Washa's father spoke to the media after Brown was executed.
