American journalist Holli Chmela was arrested in Syria along with her associate, Taylor Luck, on October 9, 2008. Both journalists had been missing since October 1, 2008. The two were vacationing in Lebanon, and had left Beirut for the port town of Tripoli, when they disappeared.
