  • Hole was an American Alternative Rock and Grunge band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989. Started by singer Courtney Love, guitarist Eric Erlandson, and bassist Lisa Roberts, the band went through many line-up changes during the course of their 13 year career, with Love and Erlandson as the only staples. Released in 1994, the band's breakthrough album was Live Through This, which featured the hits "Doll Parts" and "Violet". After two more well-received albums, the band broke up for good in 2002.
