    Hogan's Heroes, which was set in a Nazi prisoner camp during World War II, included three cast members who actually were in Nazi concentration camps before and during the war: John Banner, Robert Clary, and Leon Askin. All three men lost family members, and Clary bore a forearm identification tattoo.
