Thanks to the NHL Center Ice Package, many United States residents can view Hockey Night in Canada through the subscription-based package on cable or satellite television.
  • The Theme Song

Ask a group of Canadians to sing their national anthem, and very often you'll get two responses: one group singing Oh Canada, and the other humming or whistling the theme to Hockey Night in Canada. Known simply as The Hockey Theme, it was written in 1968 by Dolores Claman. The song is as much of an institution in Canada as the sport itself.
