History Will Be Made - Bobby Orr
Arguably the most famous goal in Stanley Cup history was the great Robert Gordon Orr flying through the air as he scored the cup-clinching goal for the Boston Bruins in 1970 against the St. Louis Blues.
In advance of the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the National Hockey League started airing a series of commercials aimed at drawing in fans by rhetorically asking a series of "What if" questions juxtaposed against highlights of classically memorable Stanley Cup moments. The name of these commercials, History Will Be Made, is the tag line that appears after the footage is done.
There were seven video originally produced featuring Bobby Orr, Raymond Bourque, Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Mario Lemieux, Steve Yzerman, and Patrick Roy. The commercials will air throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs ona ll NHL platforms.
These video have also inspired a slew of spoof videos created by users on YouTube and other video sources.
History Will Be made - Star Wars Spoof
One of the best spoofs of the History Will Be Made series of commercials involves New York Rangers forward Marian Gaborik scoring a goal. As it rewinds, the question emerges, "What if Marian Gaborik was a Jedi?"

So when favorite Bruins defenseman Raymond Bourque was traded to the Colorado Avalanche in 2001, they got a chance to live a title dream vicariously through him. In all fairness, just about everyone in the world of hockey was glad that the classy Bourque finally had the chance to raise the Stanley Cup.

The Great One finally earned the right to carve his name on Lord Stanley's Cup in 1984, as Wayne Gretzky and the Edmonton Oilers ended the four-year dynasty run of the New York Islanders. The Oilers would go on to capture five championships over seven years, winning consecutive titles in 1984-1985 and 1987-1988.

The biggest attribute among the many that Mark Messier possessed in his NHL career was his leadership skills. But even they were put to the test in trying to end a 54-year drought since the previous Stanley Cup title by the New York Rangers. In 1994 he ended the curse by helping the team win it's first championship in over half a century and forever retiring the mocking cheers of "1940!" by opposing fans.

One of the most gifted players in hockey history, Mario Lemieux has been the face of the Pittsburgh Penguins franchise since he was drafted in 1984. As a player, he won multiple scoring titles, and twice led the team to the Stanley Cup in 1991 and 1992. He would later buy the franchise and keep them from moving out of Pittsburgh, and was owner when they won their third title in 2009.
History Will Be Made - Steve Yzerman
Steve Yzerman was the consummate professional and leader. He would eventually lead the Detroit Red Wings to three Stanley Cup championships in 1997, 1998, and 2002. But before that occurred, Yzerman showed his brilliance in helping the Red Wings eliminate the St. Louis Blues from the 1996 playoffs with this overtime game-winning blast in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

The legend of goaltending icon Patrick Roy was born during the 1986 playoffs. As just a young 20-year old, he led the Montreal Canadiens to the Stanley Cup that year. His butterfly-style of play revolutionized the position. He also quickly developed a reputation as a big-game money goalie. He won another championship with Montreal in 1993 before winning twice more with the Colorado Avalanche in 1996 and 2001.
