Mostafa was arrested on September 2, 2008, after allegedly hiring a retired police officer, Muhsen Sukkari, to murder Lebanese pop singer Suzanne Tamim, Mostafa's alleged former lover. She was found in July of 2008 in her Dubai apartment with multiple stab wounds and her throat slit.
