  • Hinder is an American, Oklahoma City-based hard rock band whose mainstream hit, "Lips of an Angel," propelled its Universal Records debut release Extreme Behavior to platinum status in 2006.
  • Background

Hinder was formed by the band's drummer Cody Hansen, guitarist Joe 'Blows' Gravy and singer Austin Winkler, in 2001. They released their debut album Far From Close, on an independent record label, Brickden Records. It sold around 500 copies. Shortly afterwards they began writing songs and making demos for their next independent record to be released in 2004. The demos caught the attention of several major record companies, Atlantic, Roadrunner and Universal. In the end though, they signed with Universal.
  • Future Album

In April of 2008, it was reported that Hinder was in the studio recording songs for their new album, Take It To The Limit. One of which will be "Thing For You." They plan to go back on tour once the album is finished. Their first single off the album is slated for release in May, 2008.
