It has been rumored that presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has been having an affair with her traveling chief of staff, Huma Abedin. Though the rumors first began in mid-2007, following a Village Voice column by Michael Musto and a report in the Rupert Murdoch-owned London Times, there has been renewed interest following the allegations in The New York Times of an affair between Republican candidate John McCain and lobbyist Vicki Iseman. The blog Big Head DC has alleged that the resurgence of interest in Abedin on Google Trends may have been intentional effort by a competing campaign to distract from the McCain story.
