It was leaked by MSNBC's Chris Matthews that Comedy Central is welcoming Hillary Clinton to The Colbert Report on Thursday, April 17, 2008. Clinton is in Pennsylvania to campaign prior to the April 22 Democratic primary. Barack Obama was rumored to be invited to be on the show as well, but has declined the invitation. Clinton is hopeful that this appearance will help her gain a victory in Pennsylvania. Her Saturday Night Live sketch in February propelled her campaign forward.
