High School Musical 3 is the newest installment of the popular High School Musical franchise by Disney. It follows the six main characters through their senior year at East High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The crew participates in a basketball championship, goes to prom and puts on a spring musical during their senior year. Ultimately, they must prepare to say good-bye and leave for college.
On May 4, 2009, MTV announced High School Musical 3 was nominated for "Best Movie." Winners will be announced at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards show airing live on May 31, 2009.Official Site: 2009 MTV Movie Awards "Best Movie"
On Location
Filming for the movie began on May 3, 2008. Although the film is set in Albuquerque, the actual filming of the movie takes place at East High in Salt Lake City, Utah.
