High on Fire is a three piece thrash metal band from Oakland, California.
Career

The group was formed in 1999 by guitarist Matt Pike, formerly of the legendary stoner metal band Sleep. The band has gone through several bass players over the course of four albums. The current lineup consists of Pike on guitar, Des Kensel on drums, and Jeff Matz on bass. Their fourth album entitled Death Is This Communion was released in 2007 on Relapse Records.
