High Mercury Count

  • Actor Jeremy Piven is leaving the Broadway show Speed-the-Plow on his doctor's advice after being diagnosed with a high mercury count. Also known as mercury poisoning, a high mercury count can be caused by a number of factors, including the too frequent consumption of seafood, which is known to contain mercury. According to the Huffington Post, Piven's elevated mercury levels may be linked to his love of sushi, as well as his use of certain Chinese herbal supplements.Huffington Post: High Mercury Count: How It Happens (December 18)
