Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek is a psychological thriller about a widower, David (Robert De Niro) and the progressively troubling activities of his daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning), involving her her "imaginary friend" Charlie. The film, which is directed by Australian actor/director John Polson, wraps up in a twist ending that has been compared to the reolution of films by M. Night Shyamalan. Hide and Seek received mixed reviews, however, with Chicago Sun-Times critic Roger Ebert complaining that he felt "jerked around" by the ending.
