The HGTV Dream Home contest for 2010 began in early-January of 2010. The Home & Garden television network gave away a new house to one lucky winner in March 2010. HGTV has been giving away a "dream home" annually for over a decade. The 2010 home is located in Sandida Park, just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is a 3900 square foot, contemporary house that features three bedrooms and bathrooms, a home theater, an outdoor entertaining area and a three car garage. The home is powered by solar power.
