The Hershey Company is America's largest producer of candy products. Milton Hershey first found success as a caramel maker, but when he sold his caramel company in 1900 he started focusing on chocolate production. In 1907, the Hershey's Kiss was first manufactured. Hershey's is now synonymous with chocolate in the United States, though they produce non-chocolate confections such as gum as well.
