Heroes For Hire #13
The October 2007 issue of Heroes For Hire was criticized for its cover, which depicted three heroines chained with tentacles threatening them from below.
Some people saw it as reminiscent of "tentacle rape" found in pornographic Hentai publications. Marvel writer John Quesada argued that it was not the company's intention to suggest such a thing and apologized if it offended anyone. The Beat: Will this Heroes for Hire thing never end? (June 4, 2007)
