Brief Biography
Herman Edwards played for the Philadelphia Eagles for nine seasons amassing a total of 19 interceptions. He then transitioned into coaching in 1987, as a coach for San Jose State University. Edwards then worked as a scout for the Chiefs, where he spent one year from 1990-1991. He got his first head coaching job with the New York Jets in 2001. He was the head coach for four years before moving back to the Chiefs.
