Reviews
"Co-written by King and Dani Valent, this sees real and imaginary landscapes merge as a solitary satellite mapping engineer (Foster) charts the Armenian countryside with an expatriate art photographer revisiting her (Azabel) homeland."—Eric Lavallee for ioncinema.comhttp://www.ioncinema.com/news/id/4234
"King’s careful contemplation about storytelling, mapping, and their limits in cinema are directly of a piece with the explicit mapping themes present in “HERE,” and organically inform the concurrent projects that his collaborators and he have developed around the narrative."—Basil Tsiokos for indiewirehttp://www.indiewire.com/article/futures_filmmaker_braden_king_is_here/
Braden King Interview
In "Meet the Artists" from the Sundance Film Festival 2011, Braden King talks about the creation of his movie HERE. He did not start out with a great idea for a wonderful movie. Instead, Braden says he "followed the breadcrumbs" of creativity. The movie was shot totally in Armenia and follows the story of an American cartographer and an Armenian photographer.
