Henry Mancini

Henry Mancini is an American composer who lived from April 16, 1924 until June 14, 1994. Perhaps his best known works are "The Pink Panther Theme" and "Moon River."

Mancini started his career in 1946 as a pianist and arranger for the Glenn Miller Orchestra. In 1952, he joined the Universal Pictures music department to work on film scores and contributed music to over 100 movies. During his lifetime, Mancini recorded over 90 albums. He won 20 Grammys, four Academy Awards , a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for two Emmys.http://www.henrymancini.com/
