Henry Ian Cusick

  • Peruvian- Scottish actor Henry Ian Cusick began his role of Desmond on ABC's Lost in 2005.

    On April 24, 2009, a celebrity media source reported that Cusick was being sued for sexual harassment by Chelsea Stone, a former employee of the Lost crew. Stone claims that Cusick touched her buttocks and back while moaning and placed his face in front of her breasts and moved it back and forth, finally grabbing her breast with his hand.   • Background

    Cusick was raised in Trinidad & Tobago, then moved to Scotland, where he attended college. Following a short time at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Cusick began acting at the Citizens Theatre, also in Scotland.
  • Career

    His first television appearances were on the shows Taggart and Casualty, both broadcast in the United Kingdom. Cusick also starred in the 2003 film The Visual Bible: The Gospel Of John, portraying Jesus.

    In 2005, Cusick made a three episode appearance on the popular ABC show Lost. After several positive reviews from Lost fans, Cusick was offered a full role on the hit show. Cusick was nominated for an Emmy Award for Lost in 2006.

    Cusick has also appeared in three episodes of the FOX show, 24.
