• Henry Cavill is a British actor who made his film debut with his supporting role as the 15-year old Albert Mondego in the critically acclaimed film The Count of Monte Cristo, other appearances quickly followed with movies such as, I Capture the Castle , Red Riding Hood, Hellraiser: Hellworld, Stardust and Tristan and Isolde. In 2007, Cavill landed the role of Charles Brandon in Showtime's historical drama series The Tudors.

• Career

  Cavill auditioned for the lead in Batman Begins but lost the part to Christian Bale and was a major consideration for the role of Superman in Superman Returns. He was also the favorite choice as the new James Bond, but the producers though that Cavill was too young and therefore lost the part.

  Henry Cavill grew up in the Channel Islands in Jersey, Great Britain where he attended St. Michael's Preparatory School before continuing his education at Stowe Boarding School, there he participated in many of the school plays and productions.
