Helmet is an Alternative Metal band from New York City that are known for their unique and edgy Rock sound, best exemplified by their major label debut album Meantime. That album was a success and went on to sell more than 1 million copies. Though the band has gone through several lineup changes over the course of their career, they continue to write, record and perform. Their latest album was 2006's Monochrome.
