  • Based on the comic book and movie series, Hellboy: The Science of Evil is an action brawler for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP systems. It was developed by Krome and published by Konami to coincide with the release of the film The Golden Army, although they are not related in terms of story.

  • Story

    As he does in the comic book and film series, Hellboy fights Nazis in The Science of Evil, facing off against Hermann Von Kelmpt, a dismembered head floating in a jar with a plan for world domination. This involves taking on hordes of supernatural enemies on your way to a final confrontation with Von Klempt and his Nazi henchmen. Settings for the action include such disparate places as Japan, the Carpathian Mountains in Romania and a graveyard.

  • Gameplay

    Hellboy: The Science of Evil is a traditional brawler-type game, with the bulk of the gameplay involving you beating up hordes of enemies on your way to the goal, and solving the occasional puzzle on the way. Weapons include the famous "Right Hand of Doom" and Hellboy's gun, the Samaritan. You are also able to use bits of the environment, such as clumps of plants and lit torches, as weapons. A combo system is used to string attacks together. The health system is different, allowing you to use beaten enemies to regain hit points.
