The Helio Ocean is a dual-slider multimedia smartphone that compares to the T-Mobile Sidekick. The Ocean features a dual sliding system, sliding vertically to show a numeric keypad and also sliding horizontally to show a QWERTY keyboard for text messaging and e-mail. The Ocean provides access to e-mail and common instant messaging services in a single application. It also has a 2.4 inch color screen and stereo speakers for listening to music, playing games and accessing Google Maps and Buddy Beacon. A two megapixel flash camera with video capture allows users to shoot video and directly upload to YouTube.

Users appreciate the dual sliding design for easy email and text messaging, as well as the music, video and picture features. Others complain of the phone's bulk and the restriction of allowing only one application to be open at a time.
