  • The Helio Drift is a slider phone from Helio and built by Samsung. The phone featured a compact sliding design close to the size of a large pack of chewing gum. It was officially discontinued in October of 2007. The Drift was the first Helio phone to offer GPS services.
  • Multimedia Uses

The Drift was the first of the Helio family to offer the Buddy Beacon, an application that lets users see where friends and family members are with the help of the GPS system, MapQuest and Google Maps. The two megapixel camera supports video capture and a built in flash. Going along with Helio's partnership with MySpace, the Drift featured MySpace Mobile as one of many instant messaging clients.
  • Reviews

Users complained of the design of the numeric keys as too thin for the phone. The overall design faults were overshadowed by the GPA and media features the Drift offered.
