Supermodel Helena Christensen began her modeling career at the young age of nine. She was prominent in the 1980's and 1990's and has been featured in many magazines.
Christensen has also tried her hand at acting and has appeared in the movies Inferno and Pret-a-Porter.
In 1986, she earned the title of "Miss Denmark" and went on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. She however did not place in the pageant.
Christensen is romantically linked to Interpol singer Paul Banks. She was previously romantically linked to the late actor Heath Ledger.
