On January 27, 2009, Helen Clapsaddle shot and killed her 39-year-old boyfriend Michael Joseph Missimer before turning the gun on herself in an apparent murder-suicide. Shortly after midnight police received a 911 call from Clapsaddle informing them they would find two dead bodies at the apartment, including her own. When police arrived 3 minutes later it was already too late, as officer's found the two lifeless bodies in the master bedroom.
