The Heene family gained instant notoriety on October 15, 2009, when their youngest child, six-year-old Falcon, was thought to be carried away in an experimental helium balloon. The child wasn't in the balloon when it landed; a massive search ensued. The boy was later found hiding in the attic of the Heene family garage.
