Former Calvin Klein model Heather Stohler died from smoke inhalation when a stove burner was accidentally left on and unattended, causing a fire in her apartment in Vincennes, Indiana on Sunday May 11, 2008. Her live-in boyfriend Daniel Risley sustained numerous burns that contributed to his death two days later.
Stohler began her modeling career in Florida after high school graduation. She was on the cover of Vogue magazine nine times before leaving the modeling world.
