Nanny Lawsuit
Mill's former nanny Sara Trumble filed suit against Mills in late December 2008 for alleged sex discrimination. Trumble claims that she was given duties other than what she was hired for, which was to be a nanny for Mill's daughter, Beatrice. She claims that she was asked to give Mills naked spray tans, blow dry her hair as well as work late at night. Mills and Trumble have 28 days to settle the dispute. If they can't reach an agreement, the case will be settled in court.Mail Online: Mills's nanny sues for sex discrimination... (December 29, 2008)
Career and Life Highlights
Mills has certainly lived a star-crossed life to say the least. She survived a sexual assault when she was just 8 years old, comes from a broken household, was once homeless and was placed on probation for stealing jewelry, all before her 18th birthday. In 1986, she set up her own modeling agency and became infamous in Europe for a series of suggestive photographs taken in Germany in which she posed nude and simulated sexual acts. In 1992, Mills became active in helping Croatians during the war in the former Yugoslavia, provided shelter and supplies, paying for her escapades by modeling. In 1993, she was involved in a serious accident when struck by a police car, resulting in the amputation of her left leg below the knee. In addition to her famed marriage to McCartney, she was also married for two years to Alfie Karmal. The relationship with McCartney began in April of 1999. They were married in 2002 and had a daughter named Beatrice McCartney. The couple divorced in 2008.
