Heather and Bourne Spooner of New Hampshire are attempting to live on $1500 a year. The Spooners, who have two young children, began their challenge in January 2009. Clipping Coupons and Stockpiling
Heather Spooner says the family began preparing for their challenge in advance by stockpiling food items in their basement pantry. Spooner also says she began clipping coupons in July 2008. The Spooners say their average monthly grocery bill has been $125 since they started the challenge.
