  • Football Career

    Miller was recruited out of high school by the Virginia Cavaliers as a quarterback but was converted to a tight end. From his time at Virginia, he was the most prominent tight end in the ACC, leading in receiving yards every year from 2002 to 2004. He won the John Mackey Award in his junior season and was an unanimous selection to the All-American Team.

    In 2005, Miller was drafted 30th overall in the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers and immediately placed in the starting lineup. He scored six touchdowns his rookie season and helped the Steelers win Super Bowl XL. In the 2007, he snagged seven touchdowns and racked up 566 receiving yards in 47 receptions, all were career highs for Miller. He contributed an additional three touchdowns in the 2008 regular season, helping the Steelers reach Super Bowl XLIII.
