College Football Career
Farwell began his football career playing for the San Jose State Spartans in 2000. He played in all 12 regular season games, recording 10 tackles, one fumble and one blocked punt to earn the team's freshman of the year award. Farwell transferred to the San Diego State Aztecs in 2001, and sat out that season, using a redshirt. He played three seasons with the Aztecs, recording 180 tackles, 20.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions. NFL Career
After college, Farwell went undrafted and signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2005. He made his professional debut that same year, playing in seven games and recording six tackles. Playing in every game with the Vikings in 2006 and 2007, Farwell recorded 27 and 30 tackles respectively.
