A headache is a form of head pain. Headache pain is usually between the ears, above the eyes, and sometimes in the back of the neck. There are many different types that are caused by a variety of triggers and risk factors.
What is a Headache?
Headaches usually occur outside the skull in the nerves, blood vessels and muscles in the neck and head. If a blood vessel or muscle swells or goes through any changes it can cause pressure on the nerves which sends pain messages to the brain. The bones in the skull and brain tissue lack nerves fibers for pain so although it feels like they hurt, in reality then don't.
