  • The University of Hawaii football team plays college football as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Known by their nickname the Warriors, or sometimes the Rainbow Warriors, the team plays their home games at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, which is also home site for the National Football League Pro Bowl.

  • Recent Success

    The team has won three conference championships, the most recent in 2007. That season was also one in which the team went undefeated during the regular season and became just the third non-BCS league team to play in a Bowl Championship Series game. They lost the 2008 Sugar Bowl to Georgia.

    The Warriors are quickly becoming a team to be reckoned with from the WAC, especially in games played at their home stadium. June Jones left the program after coaching for nine years. Colt Brennan was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2007. Other great players from Hawaii's past include Jason Elam, Jesse Sapolu, Ashley Lelie, Travis LaBoy, Dana McLemore, Timmy Chang, Jeff Ulbrich and Al Noga.
