Harvey Weinstein Buys Halston

March 12, 2007: Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of the Weinstein Company acquired Halston, the legendary fashion brand, in partnership with Hilco Consumer Capital, a private equity firm.
Tamara Mellon, the president of the luxury shoe brand Jimmy Choo will help provide creative direction. The Halston brand was acquired from Neema Clothing for an undisclosed sum.
