The Main Story of the Harvest Moon Series
The SNES game does not have much of a story; you make up most of it.The N64 game starts off where you inherit the farm from your grandfather. The catch is that the farm hasn't been maintained for quite some time, so you must eventually clear it up.
Boy and Girl for PSP is unique in the aspect that it is two old PS1 games merged together. It is Harvest Moon for Girls, and the Harvest Moon originally for PS1.
More of the game's basic stories to come.

Gameplay
The gameplay plays out much like the sims, becuase in it, you have no obligations and you make your own goals in a non-linear fashion as opposed to most games. The ways to make money are farming, fishing, gathering, and sometimes there will be an odd job or two depending on version, progress and season.
You can use the money earned to upgrade your house, buy seeds for farming or flowers, buy livestock or feed, and you can buy things to give to people (in most versions, except for Innocent Life, which does not have relationships).

Harvest Moon: Innocent Life (PSP)
The game starts out on an island. You are a robot engineered by a scientist to revitalize the farming and calm down the island to save everyone. It features full 3D graphics, and has a wider area to go to, but in this version, there are no relationships seeing as you're an android.
