Harry Teague won election to the U.S. House of Representatives for New Mexico's Second Congressional District. He won with 55% of the vote.CNN: New Mexico Election Results Teague ran against Republican Ed Tinsley. The seat was vacated by Steve Pearce, who ran unsuccessfully against Tom Udall for New Mexico's open Senate seat.

All three House of Representative seats were filled by Democrats. The Senate seat vacated by retiring Republican senator Pete Domenici was won by Tom Udall with 61% of the vote, which was a pick up for the Democrats.CNN: New Mexico Election Results
