Harry Richard Landis

Harry Richard Landis was one of two surviving U.S. veterans of the First World War. He died on Feb. 4, 2008 at the age of 108. Landis trained as a recruit 60 days before the war ended. He was never sent to Europe.

  2. The last known surviving veteran of the war is now Frank Buckles, 107
