Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the first book in the seven-book series about the destiny of boy wizard Harry Potter.
Plot
The first book in the series starts with Harry learning of his wizarding ancestry and his acceptance to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - as well the facts surrounding his parents death at the hands of the evil Lord Voldemort. After escaping the home of the Dursley's (where he spent his childhood), Harry makes it to Hogwarts where he meets his new best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Convinced that someone is trying to steal the Sorcerer's Stone in order to return Lord Voldemort to power, the trio set off to find the Stone themselves and keep it from falling into the wrong hand.-
