Harry Connick, Jr. is an American jazz singer,, pianist, actor, and humanitarian from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1989 he was given the opportunity by film director Rob Reiner to make the soundtrack for the movie When Harry Met Sally.... It reached double-platinum status in the United States and earned him his first Grammy award.
Early Career
In 1977, Connick, Jr. made his record debut with the album Dixieland Plus at the age of 10. When he was 11 years old, he released the album 11. He released his self titled instrumental album by Columbia Records in 1987 and was dedicated to his mother who died of Ovarian Cancer.
