Harrison Ford is an American film actor who is popular for his iconic roles as the rough-and-tumble smart alec, "Han Solo" in George Lucas's Star Wars franchise, and also as the whip-cracking, fedora wearing archaeologist-adventurer, "Indiana Jones."

Career
Ford's earlier works includes television shows such as Ironside (1967) and The Virginian (1962). He starred as "Rick Deckard" in Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi film, Blade Runner. In 1985, Ford took on the role of "John Book" in Peter Weir's film about the Amish, Witness. This performance earned Ford an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. In the 1990s, Harrison Ford portrayed Tom Clancy's character "Jack Ryan" in two films, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. He took over the role from Alec Baldwin, who played "Jack Ryan" in The Hunt for Red October. In 1993, Ford starred as "Dr. Richard Kimble" in The Fugitive, alongside Tommy Lee Jones. Then, in 1997, he played "President James Marshall" in Air Force One, and had to defend himself against a hijacker played by Gary Oldman. In 2008, Ford made his triumphant return in the much anticipated fourth installment of the Indiana Jones film series. The film takes place 19 years after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and this time around Indy must fight the Soviet Union in an attempt to acquire an ancient artifact called the Crystal Skull.-
