The Hardy Boyz were a professional wrestling tag team with the WWE, consisting of brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy.
Career
The Hardy Boyz worked the independent circuit for five years before debuting in the WWE in 1998. Originally teamed with Gangrel as "The New Brood," their popularity took off after defeating the team of Edge and Christian in the first tag team ladder match at No Mercy in 1999. Both teams used the ladder in innovative ways, and earned a standing ovation from the crowd in attendance.
The following year, The Hardy Boyz participated in a series of gimmick matches against the Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian, culminating in a dangerous Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at SummerSlam 2000.
In 2002, the team was split up, and despite some infrequent tag matches together, they continue to enjoy singles success.
