Hans Moleman is a character on The Simpsons. He often appears on the show in many unfortunate events that result in him being nearly killed. He first appeared in season two in the episode Principal Charming as Ralph Melish. Based on his shriveled look he was given the nickname "Mole Man" and went on to become a reoccurring character on the show. He is commonly shown in a variety of jobs (which he performs poorly at) and has been seen underground as the leader of a race of Mole People.
