Hank Williams III

Hank Williams III is the grandson of country music legend Hank Williams and son of country star Hank Williams, Jr. Unlike his father and grandfather, Hank III has not bid for acceptance in country music's mainstream—his sound is closer to alt. country or psychobilly, with the undeniable influence of punk rock (particularly that of Social Distortion). Very much like his progenitors, however, Williams has faced drug and alcohol addiction. Hank III is a product of the marriage between Hank Williams Jr. and his second wife, Gwen Williams. Though he bears the name "Hank" as his middle name, he was not raised by his father, and the two were not close when Hank III was growing up.
