Hank Williams was a Honky Tonk singer, guitarist, and songwriter, as well as an icon of the country music genre. Over his brief but prolific career, Williams wrote a number of songs that are now considered "Standards" and helped to define what it meant to be a "Country" musician. Although he died at the early age of 29, Williams had 11 #1 hits throughout his career, including such classic songs as "Your Cheatin' Heart", "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" and "Kaw-Liga". Willams son, Hank Williams, Jr. and his grandson Hank Williams III are also successful musicians.
